| Term | Meaning in these Terms |
|---|---|
| Next Rung | The padel diary for iPhone and iPad published on the App Store under that name, with its built-in content and later updates. |
| Developer | The publisher of Next Rung on the App Store, reachable at the address on the contact page. |
| Player | Any person who installs and uses Next Rung. |
| Player records | Everything the Player enters — matches, reviews, voice notes, training, plans, tournaments, clubs, profile and goals. |
| Reference content | The level ladder, skills, drills, programmes, checklist and padel guides built into Next Rung. |
| Level | The step and index counted from Player records by fixed rules, with the share of each of five sources. |
| Apple | Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries, which run the App Store. |
The Level is counted from Player records alone. No federation, club or court-booking service issues it, and it does not convert into their ratings. Reference content describes padel technique in general terms; it stands in neither for a coach watching the Player nor for a doctor when pain or injury is involved.
Next Rung is free to download and to use in full. It carries no purchases, subscription or advertising.
The Level, the next-step drill and every chart are calculations over Player records. They are only as complete as those records; a missing review or tournament leaves less evidence behind the Level.
The Player carries responsibility for training load, warm-up and technique, and for stopping a drill when something hurts. A drill listed for a step may not suit a particular body or a particular court.
Next Rung is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The Developer does not warrant that the Level matches any outside assessment or that the software runs without errors.
To the extent the law allows, the Developer is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for injury during training or play, or for Player records lost through device failure, deletion or the absence of a backup.
Player records belong to the Player; the Developer receives no copy of them. The Developer grants the Player a personal, non-transferable licence to use Next Rung on Apple devices the Player owns or controls, as the App Store terms permit. Reference content and the software remain the property of the Developer.
These Terms bind the Player and the Developer only. Apple is not a party to them and carries no responsibility for Next Rung or its support. Use of Next Rung is also governed by the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and Apple may enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary.
A revised version replaces this page with a new date in force. Use of Next Rung after that date falls under the revised version.
